Mara North Conservancy (MNC) is led by a Board of Directors elected by the Tourism Partners and Landowners, with equal representation from both groups of stakeholders.
On the 1st June 2009, Seiya Ltd. was appointed to manage Mara North Conservancy. Seiya has worked to improve the area for wildlife viewing by upholding ecological integrity through: cattle grazing plans; improving efforts to stop poaching; gathering information from daily ranger patrols and limiting access to outsiders.
MNC has leased almost all of the former Koyiaki Group Ranch and some of the Lemek Group Ranch, to form an area of approximately 26,000 hectares (64,248 acres). The land is private and is leased at a rate of 2,500Ksh per hectare for the first year, with yearly increases
